NNPC Limited Appoints Salahudeen M. Tahir as New Managing Director, NETCO
The NNPC Engineering and Technical Company is proud to inform that Salahuddeen M. Tahir has been appointed as the new Managing Director as from September 01, 2025.
Salahuddeen M. Tahir brings to NETCO over 22 years of experience and a remarkable career with the NNPC Limited due to his extensive background in the oil and gas sector. Throughout his career with NNPC Limited, he has served in a myriad of technical and leadership roles and positions. He has contributed towards many landmark projects such as the famous AKK Gas Pipeline Project, OB3 Gas Pipeline Project, ELPS Midline Compressor Project, Gwagwalada Independent Power Project, and the Maiduguri Emergency Power Project.
He has also served in various capacities within NNPC Limited subsidiaries, ranging from Petroleum Geologist and Petroleum Engineer at NAPIMS, to Project Engineer and Technical Assistant to the MD at NGPTC Ltd, and most recently before his appointment at NETCO, he served as Head, Asset and Investments Management, NGPIS among others
Alongside his professional accomplishments, Salahuddeen M. Tahir has been an active member in the development of the oil and gas industry. He has published many works in the Society of Petroleum Engineers and served as the former Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers SPE, Nigeria Council, (2024/2025). He is also a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Council for the Regulation of Engineers, Energy Institute of UK, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Nigerian Mining and Geoscientists Society.
