On December 5th and 6th, 2025, NETCO management and staff gathered for a pivotal strategic retreat aimed at cementing our transition into a world-class EPCIC, O&M, and PMC provider.
This event provided a valuable opportunity to step back from daily operations and focus on the big picture. Coordinator Upstream Projects Engr. Fatai Kareem, representing the EVP Upstream, set the tone for the retreat by expressing the EVP’s unequivocal support for NETCO’s expansion and challenging the team to craft a robust roadmap for the future.
Collaborating for Success, the sessions were enriched by a diverse lineup of industry experts and partners. Day 1 focused on competitiveness, with EPC insights from the MD ILF and ED Julius Berger and NUPRC representative, alongside crucial feedback from our clients: Seplat, NEPL, and NUIMS. We also explored funding models with NNPC’s Chief Finance & Investment Relations Officer.
Day 2 turned the focus inward, with a deep dive into our Business Model. Highlights included a presentation on driving efficiency by Mr. Arinze Okafor (Head Efficiency, NNPC Ltd) and sessions with NLNG on Implementing Best Practices in Contract Management and Procurement to ensure Successful Project Delivery, also NNPC corporate leaders in Tax, Corporate Governance and HR.
Through various breakout sessions, the team successfully identified key challenges and set clear, actionable goals for the coming year, ensuring NETCO is poised for sustainable growth.
