NETCO's MD COMMENDS RETIRED STAFF By Wale Odeyale

The Managing Director, National Engineering and Technical Company Limited, Engr. Dandume Abdullahi recently commended retired staff of the company for their sterling qualities and doggedness to duty while in service.

 Speaking at the valedictory service organised by NETCO in honour of retired Executive Director Service, Mrs. Jane Ebong and former Manager, Learning and Development, Engr. JN.B.Abueh, the NETCO MD lauded the retired staff for their commitment and honesty to ensure the ship of the company stayed afloat within the oil and gas sector of the nation's economy.

Specifically, Engr. Abdullahi lauded Mrs.Ebong describing her as a woman  who likes taking up challenges adding that she is a union friendly Management staff who specialises in dealing with problems before they become issues.

He expressed his happiness for having worked with the retired EDS and wished her the best in all her future endavours.

On the retired Manager, Learning and Development, Engr. Joseph Abueh, Engr. Abdullahi described him as a man that has done his job excellently and commended him and his team for training staff the best way humanly possible.

He wished him the best in his future and prayed that the retirement will be better and more progressive for him.

Responding, the retired Executive Director Services, Mrs. Jane Ebong thanked God for the golden opportunity to serve the Corporation and thanked the Managing Director and the entire staff of NETCO for co-operating with her to make her assignment very successful through her service years in NETCO.

On his part the retired Manager, Learning and Development, Engr. Joseph Abueh thanked the Management and staff for the wonderful occasion.

He said he joined NETCO as a company but was leaving as a family.  He encouraged staff still in service to remain truthful and sincere to the cause of the company to excel and display excellence. According to Engr. Abueh serving staff should pursue excellence and to always look ahead knowing that the ’’impossible is only the un-tried’’.

Comments were made by Management staff on the retired staff. NETCO's Executive Director Operations, Engr. Dominic Ugbor thanked God for the grace to the two of them to retire happily and prayed that God will lead them in their future endeavours.

Manager Learning and Development, Dr.Udoh described Mrs.Ebong as a mother who will never rest until the welfare of staff was arrived at.  He said she was an apostle of the protection of the NNPC core values adding that she displayed herself as a good leader.

Dr.Udoh described Engr. Abueh as a very honest and prudent person who utilised the training fund in training the staff.

On his part, Manager Engineering, Engr. Mustapha Yakubu wished the duo happy retirement adding that though they are retired they do not appear tired at all and wished them the best in their future plans.
