NETCO COMPLETES FEED/DED PHASE OF CNL ROBERTKIRI GAS PROJECT By Engr. (Mrs) W.H. Inyang

Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) executed a combined Front End Engineering Design/Detailed Engineering Design (FEED/DED) in support of its plan to produce gas (Associated Gas, AG and Non-Associated Gas, NAG) from existing and new wells to be drilled to maintain the gas production plateau at Robertkiri and Idama for further sales to third party.

The Robertkiri field is located in the swamp area of the Niger Delta, 35 Km southwest of Port Harcourt.

The goals of the project are to achieve Associated Gas flare out and develop Non-Associated Gas resources. This entails modification of the piping on the primary separation process and installation of sales gas metering devices at Robertkiri and Idama Production Platforms.

To meet these goals, CNL planned to revamp Five (5) existing wells, two (2) of which are dual completions and also drill two (2) new NAG wells.
