GED, E &.T Commends NETCO
The Group executive Director, Engineering and Technology, Engr. Faithful Abbiyesuku has commended the Nationl Engineering and Technical Company Limited (NETCO) for a job well done.

He described the NNPC subsidiary as the toast of his division and congratulated the Management and staff of NETCO for achieving the objectives of establishing the company. Engr. Abbiyesuku made these comments recently during his working visit to NETCO. According to him NETCO has excelled very well and the comapny's ability to deliver in all arms of engineering is not in doubt.The GED E & T said NETCO is a very important part of his division and that since the company has made the right impact in the oil and gas industry, NNPC is willing to suport and give the necessary back-up to it to continue to do well.

He lauded the efforts of Management and staff at doing business as a government entity set up to make profit and described such arrangement as a daunting challenge which is to be addressed when the Petroluem Industry Bill (PIB) is finally passed by the National Assembly.

Engr. Abbiyesuku said despite the fact that NETCO has done well over the years the company should not rest on its oars and challenged Management and staff to do business "with the right frame of mind and leave an enviable legacy behind fo successive generations to emulate".

He assured NETCO that NNPC is always willing to support it in the area of assisting NETCO with projects adding that to keep the system going there is need for total commitment and vission on the part of of all staff to ensure adequate reward for every effort.

On the challenges facing NETCO in the industry, the GED E&T promised to address them as soon as they are brought to his notice. He enjoined Management and staff of NETCO to rise above the challenges since it is obvious that every company has its own share of challenges in the face of global economic melt-down.

Speaking earlier in his welcome address NETCO's Managing Director, Engr. Kenneth Ejuoneatse informed the GED E&T that NETCO has a crop of dedicated, focused and vision driven staff that are ready to give their best in any assignment.

He expressed his gratitude to NNPC for the wonderful support the corporation has rendered to NETCO in meeting project demands.

Engr. Ejuoneatse said the major challenges facing NETCO is the need for a permanent office accommodation, high turnover of Engineers and high overhead due to NNPC staff salaries and emoluments. He appealed to the GED E&T to use his good offices to assist NETCO get more jobs adding that with more jobs NETCO can easily meet its demands fully, engage all the staff and also play its important role as the foremost engineering outfit in Nigeria.

The NETCO MD described the GED E&T's visit as very historic and heart warming. He said NETCO Management and staff were very happy to learn the GED E&T was coming to the company on a working visit and that his physical presence in NETCO was a morale boosting occasion.

He thanked the GED E&T for coming to NETCO and promised that the company will always do its best to make the corporation proud at all times.

Engr. Abbiyesuku later took a tour of some project offices within NETCO. The project offices were Egina FPSO Field Development Project and Mobil Integrity Projects (MIPS).
